So this is me! My name is Victoria Van Ness. I am currently a stay at home mom to three precious little boys, a blogger, and a professional writer. We live in beautiful, green Tennessee on a small homestead with our two gorgeous labs.
Writing has always been a passion for me, but having my own home and having a family have been an even bigger one. Now I get to combine my two favorites and write about taking care of your home, cooking, cleaning, organizing, and caring for those you love the most.
I have a great deal more education than I think I will ever use, and a knowledge and experience in more topics than I will ever need. Currently I hold a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, preceded by a Master’s in Online Education and a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education.
After years of teaching first grade, I wanted to move into school administration, but thanks to my wonderful husband, I now have three beautiful children of my own and I get to stay home, write, and care for them. So now I use all of that education to home-school my boys, offer classes to other parents and students, and write. I currently have three published books on the market and hope for a few more, and more online courses, by the end of the year.
My Family
Meet those precious souls I love the most. Elliot is currently 5 years old. He has always been a handful, but boy is he the love of my life. He loves dinosaurs, construction trucks and doing everything all by himself. Elliot is polite but demanding, stubborn but thoughtful, and incredibly helpful, but only when it suits his purpose. And he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Sawyer is my 2 year old toddler. He loves cars, horses, and anything active and physical. He’s totally going to be a jock some day. He’s sweet, incredibly funny, extremely tolerant of his brother’s rough playing, and boy does he love ice cream and cuddling on the couch. He is totally his father’s son in so many ways, including his good looks, and boy does he have a heart of gold for everyone around him.
Hudson is my brand-new baby. He loves eye contact, conversation, brand-new diapers, sleeping, and being held close. I mean, he is a baby. What more would he want? Then there’s my husband, Tim. He’s incredibly hard-working, intelligent and he is the man of my dreams, most of the time. He can fix or make anything and everything you give him, there isn’t a challenge he won’t face, and he would never pass up a chance to go play golf.
