I’m truly a baker at heart but boy do I love to cook. When I first started learning to cook, I used all of the traditional ingredients that you find down the inner aisles of the grocery stores, like cream of chicken, chicken bouillon cubes, Bisquick, and even cake mixes, etc. So you’ll see that many of my recipes will include these, however I have started adding ways to supplement better ingredients into each one for you.

My quest into cooking healthier began when I was diagnosed positive with Group B Strep while pregnant with my oldest son in 2012. It was then that I read about all of the possible dangers that were soon to come for my son during and soon after labor, and all because my diet was laden with refined sugar and other awful ingredients that are in our everyday foods.

My midwife suggested a book for me to read called Nourishing Traditions and from then on my life was forever changed. It taught me about diseases, allergies, and a host of other ailments and how they all tied back into diet. I also learned the origin of many of our common food products, like vegetable oil, and why food is produced the way that it is currently. I will never cook or eat the same again.

So now you will become the beneficiaries of all of the research I have done and knowledge I have gained since that book in all of my new clean eating recipes and in all of the suggestions you will read about in my other recipes.
